Volunteer for West London YMCA!

Listed below is a selection of just some of the opportunities available from time to time at West London YMCA. See our application form for more types of work.

We have a wide range of volunteering opportunities at different times of the year, including the following key areas:

• Gardening or Site Maintenance
• Charity Shop or Restaurant work

Some additional opportunities we are keen to promote now are:

• Gardening Help - urgently seeking volunteers who’d like to pitch in even once a month at any of our 9 residential youth projects in west London.  Our regular full-time gardener is on long-term sick leave and we would love help in keeping the grounds under control!  Especially over the summer. Give us a call on the number below.


• After School Club Helpers @ various sites around West London. Ask for details and mention this when replying.


• Charity Shop Volunteers - who would like to join the friendly community of people working in the YMCA Charity Shops which help support our programmes.  Newly refurbished shops in Hayes Town Centre and West Ealing on the Uxbridge Road.


• Chaplaincy Volunteers – Would you like to work with our Chaplain (Rev. Dr. Judith) to deliver an important part of our vision to the young people in our Community? Since 1870 we have worked to develop young people in body, mind, & spirit, and you can help deliver this in new and creative ways with us.


• Catering Administration @ our "Y two five" Restaurant in Ealing. A great part-time opportunity for someone either just starting work, or wanting to keep themselves sharp by doing some part-time volunteering in a community-based restaurant. Numeracy and accuracy important as you would be handling suppliers invoices, cash, payroll sheets & ordering. Good opportunity to get your computer skills up-to-date. Mention this opportunity when replying!
