Tackling Homelessness in Harrow

We help young people aged 16/17 at risk of homelessness find a home with local people in the Harrow area.

Harrow residents with a suitable room available can offer to take in and help to support a young person for between 6 months and 2 years. Our specialist Home Base worker helps by supporting hosts and young people and meeting regularly with them. We aim to help young people move on to more independent accommodation.

Since February 2008 we've placed six young people with hosts. These young people are now in a secure homely environment, where they are encouraged in their education or employment. We'd like to thank all those involved in helping this project progress and look forward to Home Base continuing to make a positive difference in our community.
